The Cut Ends series is an extension of the Built Paintings and continues the construction materials motif with one addition of actually coming from the construction sights of buildings around Los Angeles. Made in response to the rampant expansion and gentrification of the Los Angles Arts District in the last 30 years, as seen in my photographic forays that began in the 90s, and continuing while having lived here for 15 years now.
